Elite Company
I am currently suspended from Twitter for the crime of reiterating facts irreverently.
Well, this is fun. This morning, the CEO of Pfizer tweeted out the following:
I found this too delicious to resist, so I responded irreverently. Within minutes, Twitter slapped me with a 12-hour suspension which you can see along with the offending tweet in the image below.
Twitter would restore my account in 12 hours if I agreed to delete the tweet, which they flagged for giving false or misleading information about Covid-19. Otherwise, I could appeal, which keeps me off Twitter in any capacity while the appeal is pending.
I chose to appeal. I have heard nothing back yet. But I will not withdraw my appeal or delete the tweet, because I refuse to admit guilt in a situation where I am not guilty. Twitter can do it if they choose, but I refuse to sign on to that action.
I refuse to delete it because there is nothing false or misleading in it.
Pfizer trumpeted its covid vaccine as being 95% effective.
Bourla said, himself, he received four doses and later tested positive.
The vaccine was absolutely purported to prevent catching covid, as stated by Fauci, Biden, Walensky, and many others throughout 2021.
Bourla expressed gratitude for his vaccine anyway.
None of the above is even debatable. But because it was stated in a mildly mocking manner, it was apparently deemed “misinformation.” And so I sit in purgatory pending appeal.
I almost see this as a badge of honor, that Twitter thought me significant enough to do this. At any rate, I will not admit wrongdoing I didn't commit and I will not delete the tweet. They can do it if they choose. In the meantime, I have a family I can spend time with and work I can do and fresh air I can get. In other words, I have enough of a real life so this doesn't truly matter very much to me.
If my company includes the likes of Emma Woodhouse and Michael Senger and Daniel Kotzin, sure, I will take it. Gladly.
As a wise woman once sang, no matter what they take from me, they can't take away my dignity.
I hope you are back on Twitter soon, but definitely believe it was the right decision not to simply cave and delete the tweet.
Twitter, and only Twitter, will decide when there is fun to be had on Twitter.
Welcome to the jail, friend.
